BEAUTY PRODUCTS I LIVE BY

The beauty industry is a big fish, to say the least. So many products are available and it can be a daunting task to choose the right one! Many moons ago, I had a dream of starting my own make-up line and tackling the industry. At the time, I was young and probably too naive to push through my fears of pursuance. That being said, I never stopped my passion for make-up and beauty products. I love learning new techniques on how to apply and ways to protect the only face I have been given.

In this post, I will share products I use regularly. This will provide details on what I use to protect/preserve my skin and ones I wish I knew about years ago. Oh, how I wish I could go back to my teenage self and scream from the top of my lungs… “stop going to the tanning bed!” or “don’t use pads to clean your face!” In no particular order, here are my favorite products I use for my skin.

MY Favorite Amazon Finds – Beauty – Volume 1.

  1. LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask If your lips get chapped, this is an amazing product to use. I have tried many over the years and while most do not last with moisture, the Laneige lip mask works.
  2. Mini Fridge – I totally put a mini fridge in this post and here’s why. Believe it or not, this has been very helpful with keeping face creams and tools I used on my face at a cooler temperature. I know it sounds silly, but I have this mini fridge below my sink for easy accessibility. Cold cream forms a protective barrier on your skin that prevents moisture loss. Your face will thank you later!
  3. Electric Cosmetic Automatic Brush Spinner I am a pretty laid-back person when it comes to cleaning make-up utensils. For years, I wash and hand-dried my brushes. It was not until I stumbled upon this brush-cleaning spinner that I realized how much I needed it. It’s easy to use and it drys the brushes as its cleaning them.
  4. Beauty Blenders – Who knew we needed to use a beauty blenders. I don’t know about you, but for me, I used my fingers to apply foundation for years. Then I tried the beauty blender. Now granted, I tried the most expensive kind that the market could offer and realized I didn’t want to spend lots of extra money weekly on my blender. The thing is, with these types of sponges, it is important to swap out regularly to ensure your face avoids a breakout. I change my blender sponge weekly. The good news is there are affordable options today and I found one that I love. The package offers two styles of blender sponges which makes things easy when it comes to different types of applications. To explain, some sponges are better used for blush and some are easier to apply with foundation. There is no science to this, in my opinion but more of a preference to offer options.
  5. Eminence Overnight Correction Cream – Moisturisers are a sensitive subject. Why? Because they are to protect and preserve your face. I have tried many and worked with a few estheticians along the way that shared this moisturizer with me. I specifically use this for my nighttime routine. I have freckles and have not noticed any lightning of them. I also have dry skin in the winter month and this is a fantastic moisturizer. I find this to last a very long time too. I keep it in my mini fridge as well and put a dime size on my skin at night. Works miracles.
  6. Eminence Organic Skincare Stone Crop Cleansing Oil If you struggle with trying to remove your make-up and need to keep in more moisture, look no further. This was introduced to me by my esthetician. I used face wipes for the longest time thinking it was the best source to remove makeup and as it turns out it’s not. This product alone provides so many benefits to your face routine. It cleans the dirt but moisturizes it in the process. You don’t use much either. I am talking, one pump for a single use. I can’t say enough good things about this product.
  7. NuDerma Professional Skin Therapy Wand – Ok… I know this product may seem scary but I am here to tell you, it just looks that way. I use this for blemishes and fine lines. So if you have an occasional blemish pop up this is a great tool to zap it into no-mans land and make it go away. I specifically use the purple wands (argon) for my blemishes and the orange wands (neon) for my fine lines. I do not use this daily as this is not necessary. I have personally seen results from this wand and recommend it.
  8. Luxury Satin Pillowcase – I recently made the switch to satin pillows in my house and I love them. Not only do they keep your head cool, it does wonders for your hair. I know, sounds crazy but there are great benefits for using satin pillows for your hair. They also are easy to clean, simply throw in the wash and dry in the dryer.
  9. Jade Roller & Gua Sha Set Face Roller I know most people have heard of these tools and some might have never tried them. When I first saw them, I questioned does this even do anything? After my own personal experience of trying these tools, I am hear to tell you, they provide restoration. I am talking fine lines. I also keep mine in my mini-fridge and it provides a nice cool effect for my face. Which in turn, helps with inflammation. Try it out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised to see the results.
  10. Flawless Brows Eyebrow Hair Remover For years I had my eyebrows either waxed or I plucked them myself. I personally don’t have a lot of eyebrow hair, thanks to the 90s trend of “the skinny the eyebrow, the better” Thankfully my eyebrow hair did come back but not that full. I get nervous going to the wrong place to wax them too and so finding a solution like this has worked wonders. It is quick and easy to get it done.
  11. St. Tropez Self Tan Express Kit Self-tanners are on the rise. While we finally realize how bad tanning beds are, we still want that sun-kissed glow. I was turned on to St. Tropex Self Tanner and here to tell you, it is A-mazing! It comes with a hand mitten to use (so your hand doesn’t turn orange) and a little amount goes a long way. I included the starter kit for anyone that hasn’t tried it and it’s the perfect vacation travel size option as well.

What are your favorite beauty products? Tag me next time and I will post to share.
